Safer Streets & Smarter Infrastructure
Ward 7 families deserve streets that are safe to walk, cycle, and drive on — with infrastructure that keeps pace with our growing community.
- Traffic calming measures on high-risk residential corridors
- Improved crosswalk infrastructure near schools and parks
- Better street lighting in parks, pathways, and transit stops
- Faster response to pothole and road repair requests
- Advocate for cycling infrastructure and regulate the use of e-bikes and scooters on the streets
- Address speeding and cut-through traffic neighbourhood-wide — not street by street — so no problem falls through the cracks of a single warrant study

Major projects — from high-density condos to new commercial developments — must be evaluated for their real impact on traffic, schools, and neighbourhood character, not simply approved because they're already in the pipeline.

- Actively engage with Chinese, South Asian, and other newcomer communities to understand their priorities and bring their voices to Council

Effective municipal leadership starts with structured, transparent, and direct communication. Too often, residents feel like their voices are only sought after during election season. I believe you deserve a representative who listens to you all year round.
If elected as your Ward 7 Town Councillor, my very first step in office will be to launch a dedicated neighbourhood-level engagement framework: The Ward 7 Neighbourhood Discussion Groups.
The 4-Zone Framework
Ward 7 is a vibrant, rapidly growing area. A neighbour living near the Hospital District faces entirely different daily infrastructure and planning priorities than someone in the Trafalgar or Neyagawa Urban Cores. To ensure no neighbourhood is left behind, we are dividing our ward into four distinct communication zones.
Zone 01
Hospital & West District
Localized transit access, parking, traffic mitigation, and surrounding neighbourhood developments.
Zone 02
Neyagawa Urban Core
Commercial development balancing, pedestrian infrastructure, and expanding local community green spaces.
Zone 03
Trafalgar Urban Core
Managing high-density residential growth, school planning lag, and localized community amenities.

How It Works in Practice

Secure, structured community portals where verified Ward 7 residents can report hyper-local issues, discuss neighbourhood solutions, and view live updates from my office.
Rotating In-Person Circles
Regular, accessible meetings hosted directly inside our community spaces, such as the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, allowing us to connect face-to-face.
Grassroots Advisory Consensus
The independent, volunteer-led consensus built within these groups will serve as my direct data-driven guide when I vote on your behalf at Town Hall.
Policy & Compliance Guardrails
Building community means building safe spaces. To protect our residents and align with the Town of Oakville's existing municipal policies, our discussion groups operate under clear guidelines:
- Rzone Compliance: All digital and physical forums will strictly adhere to the town’s Rzone policy to maintain a safe, constructive, and respectful environment for everyone.
- Zero Corporate Drain: These groups are independent advisory circles organized solely by myself and community volunteers. They utilize zero municipal staff resources or corporate funds.
- Complementary Focus: These circles operate alongside — and do not replace — the Town of Oakville’s official public consultation processes, Master Plans, or Official Land Use bylaws.
